Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Another monarch on the move after the front ...

Went across the bay at 1:30 ... we observed a monarch on west side of the approach peninsula to the Lavaca Bay Causeway moving NE to SW at about 3-4' ... in another month, we'd call it dedicated directional flight! ... headed out to cross the bay ...
but then we've never really gone over there on 9-2 to be in a position where we know the migration route to be.

Many Queens milling about nectaring along marsh/vegetation line, esp blue mist, no real movement to them. We expected the first Sept monarch to be messing around in the backyard, not zipping to the southwest ... that front, north wind, cooler days did something to all of us, may happen again this weekend.
