Ruby-throated Hummingbirds are migrating south to along the Texas coast. For about ten days they have begun to stack up right along the coast, we are now seeing four dozen plus at times during the day. When they have enough "fat", they will take the jump and fly across the Gulf to the Yucatan. Because of the extreme drought this year we are seeing them two to three weeks early in these numbers. Peak time should be Oct 1-15. Pictures at one feeder in backyard: http://mcmc.homestead.com/sept209.html
