I have three hummers who are feeding at my feeder. One I think is immature because it is just getting red on the chest. They have been eating like crazy. We figure it is to prepare for their migration. they have really fattened up, at least the older two have. the dominant one is still protecting "his feeder", but somehow he doesn't seem as vehement in his driving the others off. we do notice a distinct increase in their feeder meals. I also saw the immature one collecting at my hanging pots of Impatience, which are a hot pink color.
