Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/03/2009

Number: 1

still have regular activity at the sugar water feeder about 1 1/2 cup every 4 days now. all fem/jv RTs no males for about 2 weeks now. seeing up to 3 at the same time. we have had a high pressure weather system (clear n sunny mid 70s D low 50s N) for the last week and a half, forcast not to change for another week. still seeing a variety of butterflies and occasional monarch. i think when the weather fronts start coming thru out of the nw is when the hummers will leave, so i'm waiting to see if thats true ( tailwind ). also the goldfinches are still here and seeing daily. noticed some maples are starting to change color at the ends of some of their branches. poison ivy leaves changing to red 2wks ago.
