We have aerial wars around the feeders at our house. We have several males and a few females who are dive-bombing each other and jockeying for SINGULAR use of a feeder. We have 5 out all around our house. I like this time of year because some feeders that aren't as popular get a good use even though they aren't usually a favorite.
One sad note...the birds get careless and slam into the big picture windows of our living room. I haven't found any casualties this year so far but my heart stops when I hear that thump against the glass. The stained glass or other "window warning" devices don't seem to help much.
