Ruby-throated hummingbird sightings have been every other few days, with sometimes a week apart. Last one was Thursday morning 9/3/09, only a brief visit, from an immature male. The hummers are, all immature males or immature females feeding on all of the flowers in the lasagna garden and briefly from the feeders. This pattern is different from other years. I feel the usual flux of everday, all day long, hummers we have in September through early October will be short and sweet, if in fact it even happens. I have not had had that since July and only then for two weeks. Am anxious to see what happens in the next few days and weeks...
