While boating on Lake Michigan today, we saw approximately a dozen monarch butterflies, not in a group but each a few minutes apart, flying west over Lake Michigan of the west Michigan coast near Muskegon heading toward Wisconsin. Our sightings were between 11 am and 12:30 pm. My observation time: I was watching for 1 hours and 30 minutes.
