For the last several days female/juvenile hummingbirds have been visiting my garden all through the day. Today I saw two together feeding on plants and the feeder, flying at each other, touching each other. Later I witnessed three in the garden again chasing and swooping after each other. They don't seem to defend territory like the males and I was surprised to see two at the same time in the same area without one chasing the other off before feeding.
