Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/07/2009

Number: 1

I've been looking out for Hummers (Ruby-Throated) all day today, and feared the females were gone too, but around six o'clock I saw one female. It would perch near the feeder and guard it, as Hummers do, feed for about 15 seconds and then back to the perch for a couple of minutes. I watched the same back-and-forth routine for about 20 minutes. In that period of time I didn't see any other Hummingbird approach the feeder.

The last time I saw the males at the feeder was on 9/03/09.
