I am still seeing ruby-throated hummingbirds along the north shore of Lake Ontario, apparently following the shoreline as part of their migration. In the town of Oakwood, west of Toronto, I am seeing a hummingbird or two every day while collecting monarchs for tagging. These hummingbirds are sipping nectar from the butterfly bushes there (buddleia).
