Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/08/2009

Number: 1

I just spoke with Bernd Heinrich (University of Vermont) on 8 Sept, 2009 who said he has not seen a single monarch this summer. He drives back and forth between Maine and Vermont frequently and is a very observant biologist. I predict a low overwintering population in Mexico this winter.
