Not a glimpse of the last female hummer that was still visiting our feeders the past several days. It appears she has left for the season. I will keep my feeders up for a while yet, to have food available for any that will be migrating through our area in the next few weeks. It's a myth that people need to remove their feeders to encourage the birds to migrate. It's important to keep fresh food available as long as you are seeing any activity.
