Hummingbird activity is begining to slow down around here. I still hear them but the battles and feverish activity has eased. The ones I see around the feeder seem to be females now. Perhaps as in the spring, the males depart first to stake out their territory? The female that is my shadow is still a regular around here. I love hearing her squeaky voice outside the windows as the sun rises.
