Saw first ruby-throated hummingbird August 12th. Another one appeared two weeks later. They appear to both be females and love the lady in red Salvia and red and purple Fushia. Today they were chasing each other around as usual. I have three feeders up and they still won't share. Last year I also had them appear in August. Last year is the first year I tried to plant flowers that would attract them. Wish I could get them here earlier in the summer to enjoy them more.
