Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 09/16/2009

Number: 50

I came home from work and was driving into our driveway through our windbreak and there were lots of Monarch butterflies flying back and forth across the driveway. What a beautiful sight.

Some of them spent several days in the trees. I did try to get a picture of them but my camera would not zoom in close enough to get a good picture of them. We did see one lone one again last night (9/20) flying around the yard light after dark. I do not have a clue as to how many there were. We were just surprised to see so many in one place. There must of been at least 50 or more.
