YES! A female RTH came this afternoon and was happily feeding on my Lantanas and feeder. It was so great to see her today. I had run out of food in my feeders and had to make a new batch last night to fill them up. I had not seen any for about three days. So happy she found the food this afternoon. I'll really miss them when they are all gone!! But, today was a happy day for both of us.
WE also have lots of Gold Finches especially some little ones still asking their momma's to feed them. They come in groups of 8-10 and chatter and sit on my sunflowers and feeders, napping, eating and chirpping away so happily. One little guy actually fell asleep in a pile of seeds on my deck seat after eating..I had to train him not to do it because there are several cats in the area. But, I've been using negative reinforcement on the cats for about a month and it seems to have really helped keep the cats away from my feeders. What fun!
