In the past few days I've released 5 monarchs raised from eggs in my year:

9/13 - 1 male

9/14 - 1 female

9/15 - 1 female

9/16 - 2 males

All circled around a bit and then flew off in a southwesterly direction.

Two others emerged from their pupae but were deformed, couldn't fly, and died.
One more is about to emerge later today or tomorrow.
