On Sunday September 13th the hummingbirds were busy all morning feasting on and chasing one another around the black and blue salvia and the red salvia. Three freshly filled nectar feeders nearby went untouched. I had to go out of town and was certain that I wouldn't see the little darlings again until next May. When I arrived home this evening at 8:00PM I couldn't believe my eyes - they are still here!
