Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/15/2009

Number: 1

We started watching the hummers about two weeks ago when we suddenly had three or four dozen rather than the six or seven we have had in previous years. There were some very small ones, lots of green ones and several which we identified as Rufus as they were orangish-brown and very aggresive. We are just learning so still working of identifying the others. There was one with a black head and white under it's chest. We are trying to find when we should stop feeding so they will migrate before winter.
