Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/21/2009

Number: 1

For the last 3 months, I have been observing 2 types of Hummingbirds: red necked birds and brown birds with a green hue on their feathers. My feeder is active all day long with at least one hummingbird flying to it every few minutes. Just before dusk there will be 6 of them flying around the feeder. There is always one bird who chases as many as he can away. Then, after he has had his BIG fill of sugarwater, the next one comes in and takes over and tries to chase the others away. Very fun to watch.
