Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/22/2009

Number: 1

Monarchs are making great headway across central Okla. as I type!!! Today, between 3:30 and 3:45 p.m., I noticed 1-2 Monarchs flying south every 15 seconds! From 3:45 to 4:00 p.m., I counted 1 Monarch every 30 seconds. After 4:00, the Monarchs got fewer and fewer. But hey, I was just thrilled to see them! Hope some decide to rest here tonight. There should be some on the Okla./Texas border by tonight! The winds have been light from the north, they may have easily been moving all afternoon.
