I was out working in the yard and observed a good sized female hummer working over the touch-me-nots in my meadow. I took down my feeders several weeks ago, so was surprized to see one this late in the season.

I know that migration for monarch butterflies has been very odd this year, and wonder if the hummers are affected by the same weather patterns. My forsythia bush is blooming also, so perhaps they are all confused. : )
