I saw the last rufous on the 19th of September and got a few photos (albeit not very good ones because the light was bad).
The Anna's are still here. They are very feisty and are arguing with honeybees about who gets to sip from a certain feeder (never mind that there are a dozen feeders in different parts of the garden).
I'm hoping they'll stay again over the winter (even though this means major work for me, keeping the feeders filled and defrosted).
I'll be posting updates.
