The hummers have not left yet.They are still putting on a show of darting around us while we are on our deck and flying in and out of the pear trees. I have noticed there are fewer around now.
Last year they left very late in October instead of after Labor Day. One interesting thing I saw happen is, I had just taken a fresh sugar water feeder out and a bug was flying around the feeder. Along comes a hummer and gulp him down. I had never seen this before and was surprised. We enjoy warching them.
