The resident hummer is still here, she is constantly being challenged by others passing through. Yesterday a male (only the second one I saw this year) and a female trying to get to "her feeders" today only a female was encroaching on "her flowers". She defended her yard admirably, and at last light tonight I saw her on her favorite branch. Last year the resident hummer stayed well into October.
