Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 09/22/2009

Number: 50

Roost of about 50+ Monarchs noted in my trees about 7:00 p.m. tonight. They were really spread out, mostly singles, with a few doubles. It was quite fascinating to notice that they really took their time in finding just the right spot. They would move from to limb to limb, and then decide to go to another tree. Most were on the west side of the trees, soaking up the last rays of the sun as it was going down.
Reported to Monarch Watch.
