The sighting was at my home in Canaan Valley, WV. Elevation is 3600 ft. above sea level. It is a remote location and I do not feed hummers as it attracts bears. The hummer showed up at our deck and checked out a red object.

Most flowers have faded in this area. A few thistles remain. Most of the trees are nearing their peak fall colors.
