Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/23/2009

Number: 1

Sorry. It is lack of sightings I'm reporting. My wife who watches very carefully and often raises dozens in a summer, "thinks" she saw one fly by her office window on Monday 21st.
The fact that we have seen none, and inspected so many milk weed plants in so many locations for so many weeks....finding no eggs or caterpillars has disappointed us all summer. She has been closely involved in watching them for fifteen years....last year had so many that she left many more to "make it on their own". (She goes to get fresh milkweed to feed the ones she is raising and again and again finds another egg once she gets home.) Anyway, hopes they return next year.
We had one neighbor who found one in Vermont and one niece who found one in Syracuse NY. They both have seen many in other years.
Casual chance she saw one.
