I went out at 7:15 last night (9/23/09). No wind and 56 degrees. Saw 26 monarchs over an 11 minute time frame fly in from the east about 20-30 feet off the ground. They were all following the creek and all circled and landed in the large cottonwood or a couple nearby elms just south of the house.
