Signs of Fall

Date: 09/25/2009

Number: 1

On September 22, the fall equinox we reported a high temperature of 81 and a low temperature of 65. The sunrise was at 7:05am and sunset at 7:14pm. Our moon phase is Waxing Crescent. It rained all week and today, September 25 was our first chance to go outside. We observed a morning temperature of 61. The birds were singing and the sun was shining this morning. We noticed the shadows were very long, the flag was not moving, so no wind was blowing, and the bees we've been watching on the flowers have decreased greatly. Our flowers have begun quit blooming. The students have begun to pose questions and form theories about the shadows, the position of the sun, and what makes the leaves on the trees change color and fall off.
