The Anna'a hummingbirds are very active right now, and it looks like they're settling in for winter. Several immature and mature males and females are catching bugs in the garden and frequently come to the feeders from dawn to dusk. I have not seen any rufous since 09/1/09. I suspect the last of them finally took the big journey south.
