During the period 9/20 through 9/26 27 monarch left Damariscott Maine. They all looked good and there were a lot of good gliders in the group. It's wonderful to see them fly. 4 are still here waiting their big day. I just want to note that these monarches were removed from a field one day before it was mowed. I hope next year maybe they could leave just a circle of milkweed. Things have not been the same this years with the monarch and I wonder what will happen come Spring 2010.....guess we will have to wait and see.
