We found 4 caterpillars, one very tiny, and raised them in our 5th grade classroom. Three formed chrysalids and one formed a J and turned black.
Our first butterfly appears to have a deformed front leg which is affecting its ability to feed and fly. The second chrysalis is preparing to emerge. Our third chrysalis is still in the 'green' stage, but we can begin to see the forming butterfly through it.
