Morning dawned cool @ 50Degrees, no wind, moon at about 3/4 to 7/8, calm. WInd started from NNW mid morn. Seen two Monarchs. Hummingbirds may have deserted..no frenzy at feeders. Forgot to mention Blue Jays are back, come through and stir up the neighborhood birds, mean things! They'll stick around for a bit.
Bees and hornets feeding. Leaves dropping, lots of drying. If these winds are a harbiger of Winter,, then we will have a cold one this year with lots of wind from the North, Just a hunch on seeing what I am seeing here now. Full Moon should give rise to cooler and clearer air, loss of heat after dark with stillness and bright nights, dogs will be on the howl, coyotes, probably increase in carnage in general as animals are on the move and restless. Cats are playful, but expect warm quarters at night, go in readily.
