My friend, Joann Merritt, reported 300 monarchs in her back yard, just south of I-20. Her sister-in-law reported 350 about 20 miles due east of Midland. I had a few - 20 - that drifted south across the road before sundown. I am located between those 2 locations. I attempted to catch one or two to tag but they outsmarted me.
