Last night thousands of monarchs stayed the night in Midland Texas. We had 20+ homeowners report 500+ in their trees, plus 1000 stayed the night at the courthouse. Usually the monarchs stay in isolated groves of trees in the watercourses in the plains (llano estacado), and it is unusual for so many to stay in town.
My observation time: I was watching for ___ hours and ___ minutes.
