Unbelievable - We had a ruby-throated at the feeder right outside our kitchen window this morning. Temps have been below average and recently we even had a morning frost. Temperature at the time of the sighting was 48F with light drizzle beginning to clear. With the nightly temps dropping into the low 40's I can't help but suspect that this may be the season's last sighting, as another batch of inclement weather is headed our way. I wish our little friend good speed and the promise of a glad welcome next year.
