This was the last day we saw hummers at the two feeders that we maintain and it was only one or two occassionally at the feeder all day long. Since early August we had seen 4 to 6 feeding all the time from daylight until dusk. On thursday, some rainy weather moved it and it barely got out of the 50's for the next three days. Now this morning (Sunday) we are in the 30's and we have spotty frost so they are gone for sure. So long until next spring. We love their chitter chatter and zooming around us when we sit on the deck in the late afternoon. We also love it when they come up to the windows and seem to be looking in.
