Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 10/04/2009

Number: 1

Here in St. Petersburg, Florida, monarchs have been absent from my way station for several weeks. It is not altogether uncommon for them to disappear in September and reappear around mid October or Columbus Day.

For those of us in Florida, it is time to keep a watch for tagged monarchs coming into the state with the fall migration influx.
Central Florida is usually mid October, earlier by a couple of weeks further north and later further south.
