I had given up on seeing any hummingbirds this year. Just a few minutes ago I saw her. She was hovering near the place our feeder normally hangs, then to the pineapple sage still in bloom! I am very surprised (and elated) to see them, but they are later this year. Last year they arrived in September and were gone by October. Today is the temp is around 50, and rainy. We are expecting colder weather next week with temps in the 20's in the evening.
