In Sacramento, we have the good fortune of having Anna's hummingbirds throughout the year. There are at least 3-4 that challenge each other for feeding spots in our yard throughout the winter. We grow large salvia plants and trumpet vines that provide lots of feeding opportunities, both for the hummingbirds and a variety of butterflies and bees.
Should I continue to report sightings periodically throughout the winter?
