While leading a class on monarchs, we tagged one female monarch ovipositing on A. subulata. Sighted another female monarch also ovipositing on A. subulata with a torn right wing. Spotted one caterpillar in a "j" formation, and another monarch caterpillar slinking across the rocks. Found 6 caterpillars of various instars all on A. subulata. Veterans Oasis Environmental Education Center, Chandler.
