Thousands of Gulf Fritillaries have clustered along the Gulf of Mexico beach coastline 38 statute miles south of Tallahassee, Florida on a sliver of land known as Alligator Point, Florida. Observed them constantly from noon on 10/09/09 until noon on 10/11/09. They were feeding on flowers of various wild, weed-like plants.
