While Shrimping at 11 pm on Saturday Night at My Neighborhood Dock, My Family and I spotted Two Adult Manatees with a Smaller One that we presume to be a Baby. At the End of the Boat Ramp, there was a patch of Marsh Grass that they were feeding within. I waded thigh deep into the water, and stood silently. One of the Adults came up 3 ft besides me, paused to stare at me a minute then went back under. The Second Adult then came up 4 ft in front of me, paused to stare at me for 30 secs then went under. All 3 of them continued up river, passing us heading to the next patch of grass to feed more as they cruised down the Ashley River. WOW it was So Exciting to be that close to them in their Natural Environment!!!
