My name is Pamela Willms, I live in the state of Florida. Please take care of these Butterflies during the long cold winter.
I teach 4-5 years olds with another teacher Ms. Greta,with Florida's Voluntary Pre- K (VPK) program. Recently we heard our local Fire Fighter's read "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" with the READ ACROSS AMERICA program, so we used the migration to expand the children's learning around this story.
We have enjoyed the excitment of making these Butterflies.They turned out so beautiful, we are sad to see them go! But we will look forward to the Spring with added excitement to see the journey back, and from where our returning Butterfies will have arrived. We look forward to meeting, through paper butterflies, other children who share our interest in the Monarch Migration.
Thankyou Journey North for this fun way to learn about the world, and Monarch butterflies, on a personal level with real people.
