bleak, cold and rainy day here with temps in the low 40s. Forecast for snow rain mix this weekend. When looking out my picture window today observing birds at my feeding station, I was shocked to see a female hummer at my hummer feeder that I still have hanging on front porch. It was more interested in impatiens and lantana I still have in full bloom (have not had a killing frost yet). I observed the bird for about 2 hours this afternoon.
