Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/15/2009

Number: 1

Hummers continue to visit both the flowers and feeders. One set of "twins" continue to feed regularly, and two fly by (non-resident) males have stopped for an extended feeding and then left immediately. Have not seen any adult females.
The weather has been unseasonably cold, rainy, windy, and overcast on most days, but we've continued to see "the twins" throughout the day and right up until sunset. We'll keep the flowers alive as long as possible, and the feeders will be available for one month after we see our last hummer.
