7:20 a.m. DST October 18, 2009 Very fat Ruby Throat nectaring on Impomea quamiclit red cypress vine, in early morning sunshine. Temperature 40 degrees or slightly below. While we have been seeing Ruby Throats consistently all summer, this is the latest one I have seen. I believe we are close to seeing the last for the fall season. The temperature is expected to be down to 40 again tonight.
