The First Grade Class of Union Elementary School, Montpelier Vermont planted 90 Red Emporer Tulip Bulbs on Friday, Oct. 16, 2009. Our learning goal is to engage children in science inquiry to better understand seasonal change, and the impact geographical/environmental differences have on plant growth around the world. The bulbs will sleep through the winter, but our first grade scientists are already thinking about the garden changes they they will see when Spring arrives!
