Miss Osburn's fifth grade students planted their Red Emperor tulip bulbs on Tuesday, October 20, 2009. The weather here in Topeka has been rainy so the garden was very muddy, but we were lucky to have two days of nice weather this week to plant. We divided the class into two groups. One group cleaned up the garden and the other group started digging one big hole. The next day we changed jobs. We arranged the bulbs in an array with four bulbs in each row. There were six rows. We decided to plant a bulb for our teacher at the front of the array which stands for our class.
